茶の道 The Way of Tea

静けさの中で、そのままの私がそっとあらわれます。

整えようとしなくても、意識しようとしなくても、その時の私が静かに姿を見せます。

茶道は、自分をつくる道ではなく、そのままの私と出会う道。

点前にも、お客としての所作にも、その時々の私が自然と映し出されます。

静けさは、私を映す鏡のようなもの。

ただそこに身を置くだけで、その時々の私と静かに向き合う時間が生まれます。

毎回同じ稽古でも、あらわれる私は毎回違います。

その小さな違いに気づくたび、自分という存在の奥行きが、少しずつ見えてくるように感じます。

In stillness, my true self quietly reveals itself.

Without trying to improve myself or become anything, who I am in that moment

naturally comes into view.

The Way of Tea is not a path of becoming someone else, but a path of meeting myself as I am.

Both in preparing tea and in receiving it as a guest, my state of being is gently reflected in each moment.

Stillness is like a mirror, quietly reflecting who I am.

Simply by being present in the tea room, time unfolds to meet myself with quiet awareness.

Although the practice is the same each time, what is revealed is never the same.

With each small difference I notice, the depth of my own being gradually becomes clearer.
